I have been encoding my DVD collection for use on aTV, and love it. My wife has an 8 GB iPod Touch, so the hi-res movies for aTV don't work on her device. I'm now starting to encode specifically for her device as well. The deal is, she syncs with the same library as aTV, where our music collection also resides. I would love to be able to keep iTunes sharing active for non-synced content, but somehow hide those iPod-specific moves from aTV.

I know that I can do a "custom sync" and check "Show only synced items," but eventually the aTV will be full; at that point, I'd still like to be able to show and stream unsynced items, but not have to list the iPod videos (it would confuse my kids).

Any ideas on what I might be able to do?
