Apple TV Picture Corruption Issue

Hi Guys,

Been using the apple tv succesfully for a number of months.
I've been seeing on average, maybe 10 photos out of 100 transferred between my Intel-x86 based laptop and apple TV, that my photos (taken with an SLR nikon camera) are sometimes appearing on the apple tv as 'broken' or corrupted.. the photos' still 'show' however they are either distorted or discoloured with 'lines' throughout the picture...
I'm not sure why this is happening..
I rang apple they suggested it was because of my router being too close to other radio signals like the microwave or the cordless phone.. both were 'off' and unplugged during a text, and some of the photos transferred still showed up corrupted. On my PC they are fine and crystal clear.

Any ideas?
