Just purchased an Apple TV. Looking ahead, I can see that the 160GB drive will not be enough in years to come. So I want to set it up so that the content I download (movies, TV shows etc), gets stored on a seperate 1TB hard drive. How do I tell Apple TV where to store the content it downloads i.e. - not to download onto itself, but onto another drive?

is the external drive supposed to be linked to your ATV via USB or do you envision a drive connected to your computer?

Not fussed - can be either - would prefer a network drive though. Is it an issue if I use a PC and not a mac drive although I am not off purchasing a Mac? Have downloaded a few series and within the first week I have already used 15GB so 160GB is definitely not enough in months to come ...

You can either hack your ATV and enable the USB port on your ATV to connect an external HD or you can move your library after you ahcked it.
PM me for more info.
