Default Sleepy TV

Hi there. We got Apple TV for Christmas gone and are generally happy with it except for an annoying problem. The problem is that every time we go to use it, it seems to be in a deep sleep and will not wake. We get the apple logo and the 'bip' noise every time the remote is pushed but it wont respond. We always, and I mean always, have to pull the plug and plug it back into the mains. The we have to wait for it to boot and all's ok from There on.

We have the latest software version and when we've finished with it we don't put it to sleep just change the source on our TV Amp.

Does anyone know how we can fix this or is the unit faulty?

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

I would take it back to the store and have it exchanged.
Never heard about this problem.
