Movies have dissapeared!!!

Hi, I've downloaded movies on the apple tv itself, roughly around 10 or so and when I checked back yesterday everything seems to have vanished. The message just says thier are no movies currently on the hard drive and I should connect to an itunes account.

I have connect to the itunes on my pc and have transfered the songs and movies from there but still the ones I've downloaded on the apple tv have gone. Does this mean I have lost all of these films?

I am still signed in on the apple tv and nothing else has changed, any ideas?
